Ros Na Run

Does anybody watch the irish language soap Ros Na Run?? I have been watching the omnibus edition for the last couple of weeks and have surprised at how good it was... anyway i watched it last night and one of the characters committed suicide with her 18 month old child.... it was pretty harrowing and i was wondering if this was the first time a soap every portrayed a mother and child suicide???

It's okay - I'd watch it the odd time. (I hate all other soaps).

Ive been watching it for a while now ad the story lines are excellent, they cover issues that other soaps do not touch. I would not be a fan of soaps generally, but wouldnt miss Ros Na Run.

They have covered violence against women in the home, rape and subsequent pregnancy/murder and now suacide associated. Their portrayal of the Irish court system in the rape trial was particularly good.

And what other soap would you get such colourful use of language - such as mo hón!
