So who went? And what did you think.

The 2 support acts were passable, but Obituary, my gentle jesus what a show - absolutely fantastic.

Especially when the man himself came into the crowd during Chopped In Half to meet some fans, etc

Horray Obituary, boo everyone else :)

It was a religious experience. I enjoyed Master and Visceral Bleeding but Obituary were just incredible. Great to see them enjoying the evening too. Top marks, hope they come back after the album comes out. That new song kicked ass.

I had a decent view by the pillar in the middle closest to the stage. Ancient1 and Dabhoys were there too.

I look a lot younger than some of the old bastids who were there ;)

what I want to know is who the smeg spilt all that beer on the floor, I was sticking to it - made me think that next time I will bring wellies

hehehe, well, er nah, cant think of a comeback that is 100% free of smut or innuendo.

anyway back on track - aye the new tune from the lads sounded quite good - although I understand there "sound issues" all night.

thought it was cool that Tardy came down to the crowd during the set to say hi and sign a few things. The missus had gone for a wander (cause she's a short-arse and bumped into him - said you could see that he is really old or aged)

    roll on
    26/10 - Krisiun / Behemoth / Incantation / Ragnarok - Whelans
    09/11 - Suffocation / Insision - The Village
DEICIDE /RKHON INFAUSTUS in The Village on Saturday December 4th
    16/12 - Dissection - The Village
BLAZE BAYLEY The Village on Friday December 10th
BEHEMOTH / ANATA / SUPREME LORD shows in January
    MARDUK February 24th
NILE & DYING FETUS March 11th

    Excellent gig!
I thought Master were really really good but Obituary just destroyed!
Definitely one of the better gigs of the year! I think they were quite surprised to get such a reception - it was just great.

Ahhh you crazy kids, so jealous because the bands from your generation suck balls. Don't feel so bitter. Love, Ph3n0m, don't hate. Just go back to your Limp LimLim cd's and sing how us old geezers don't give a fock about you... and your generation!

Take it to the bridge, Fred! ;)

AMAZING! wow, what a band. Met them all outside the village. nicest bunch of guys. I thought Visceral Bleeding were pretty cool so was Master, one of the only bad things was their announcer never introduced (not that they needed introducing) but he's practically a member of the band so I was kind of dissapointed woth that, also the floor/pit was'nt covered so was basically tiled and I could'nt stop sliding all over the place when I was moshing.

Can anyone possibly remember the entire setlist? I remember most of it but its a bit hazy since I was a little drunk ;) its for a review I have to do, cheers.
