Wow, just blew a wad of cash on the Pioneer NS-DV1 and boy am i impressed!

Sorry if i'm boasting but anyone out there watching DVDs and not utilising a 5.1 speaker setup is missing out in a big way...

Damn impressed and i've only watched The Matrix, Ronin and Fight Club (even better than what i remember from the cinema...)

Gladiator and Saving Private Ryan are next on the list... Anyone any other recommendations??

Das Boot - the soundtrack on the DVD is incredible (as is the film itself).

    Apocolypse Now and Terminator 2.

Blade, better surround useage than Matrix I think (I hate it when movies only use the surround for 'loud' scenes).

    Baraka.

The last Star Trek movie was well engineered too.

Cool, just picked up Das Boot (an all time fav anyway; looking forward to this...)

BTW can anyone recommend someone to region-fix (modchip) my NS-DV1. I get to the states quite a lot and would love to be able to play the region 1 dvds.
