Hannibal will be big, its due for a US
release on February 6th.

what else.. Driven, Stallones film about a CART driver (well im looking forward to it!)
ehh Spielbergs AI.. bit of a kiddy film possibly though, still will take in the money.

Matrix 2 wont be out in 2001, its only just begun shooting.. although quite possibly a christmas release (then again its not really a christmas type release movie)..
either will T3... cast hasnt even been decided.

Ememy At The Gates. this is one i will definitly go see (as opposed to the majority of the above) meant to be the biggest movie ever to be shot in Europe and based on a true story.

btw afaik Snatch hasnt been released in America cinemas yet (whoa we get one good film first!)

..just to shift this a bit sideways and discuss the upcoming dvd releases...
checking out the "coming soon and 2001 release dates" on www.hmv.co.uk doesnt turn my crank much either... well there is the Godfather trilogy in october...lawrence of arabia in march... but a lot of other tripe...
the selective releasing of older and classic DVD's p!sses me off.... I wouldnt mind an Indiana Jones trilogy, some Pink Panther movies, yeah even marx brothers... more hitch****...
i know i can get some of them real cheap on VHS but...

yah I'm lookin forward to both Cannibal and Tomb Raider..(Angelina Jolie - om nyom)

I reckon Matrix 2 wont be able to compare with the first. I'd imagine that it will just be a high octane action flick. There is the whole special effects thing that production have working in their favour tho so it should be visually pleasing at worst.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is a new film by Ang Lee which is already being cited as 'movie of the year'. Supposed to be brilliant, a fantasy epic.

Oh yeah and here's another film we got before America - O Brother Where Art Thou? Great, great flick!

I'm really looking forward to the final fantasy movie too, it and Hannibal are about the only films I really want to see, but there seems to be a lot of other good ones scheduled for release this year.
