Aliens DVD

    I just got a lend of the Aliens DVD
    Did anyone see the cool extra bits from the aliens DVD. The sentry guns and the actual colony before it got erm RAPturisED. I think they put a little too much into certain additions and the film lost a small bit of it's tension in areas. Still one of the greats though.

    Got all 4 Alien movies on DVD myself and yeah- the extra bits in Aliens are dead cool... a friend of mine is adamant that the scene near the beginning where Ripley is sitting in the garden (sitting by a big screen which gives the illusion of a garden) was an extra bit... I was sure it was in the original... still - all in all ... it's a great film, and even better on DVD. I disagree that they put too much in, - I think it's juuuuust right now.

    The garden bit woz definetly New, Probably a take they took in the case of "maybe we'll put it in"

    The whole illusion thing probably couldnt be done aswell as now with the super cool computer graphics that we have

    The garden bit is added footage, as is the entire thread about Ripley's daughter. The whole thing just plain makes more SENSE when you see it with the extra scenes in place... Top notch flick, and the additional scenes may detract a little from the pacing, but they add a lot to the plot and the mood.
