CD drive not working ?

    what the hell, i was planning or reinstalling windows so i was backing up stuff on cds using nero, most recent cd i was making, got stuck at 100% and cd was making weird noises, like it was dying, since then (30 min ago) its not working, insert cd and nero says there is no cd, so does windows cd-recording inbuilt programing, it doesnt read cds/audio cds.
    i tryed roll back driver but i had no backups, so i uninstalled and restarded and it found it after and now still not working.

    i got this laptop a few months ago.
    its an advent.

    i am very pissed off.

    Remove the drive physically if possible and reinstall.

    laptop cds are notorious for breaking, is it under warranty?

    will try, do you reckon is gone completley ?

    i got it in feb, should be under 1 year warranty, but unsure.
    Laptop also keeps stopping for ms, this why ive decided to reinstall, which i cant do now.

    i cant take it out, i un did 1 screw then realsed other wouldnt open and now the (i) button wont work until i hammer it down.

    for **** sake.

    Why wont other screw open?

    They should come out for upgrading.
