resizing picture

    i can resize pictures grand but does anybody know what pixels are in a standard 6X4 photo?

    6x4 photos don't have pixels. Pixels are digital.

    What are you trying to do? If you want to size pictures so they print well at that size then it depends what kind of printer you'll be using. I guess maybe 900x600 would be decent (thats 150dpi or dots per inch). It really depends on what you want to do though.

    If you have photoshop, resize your photo to, or crop to 6in x 4in and set the resolution to between 300dpi and 600dpi. That'll increase the pixel size of the picture but not the print size.

    ok sorry im a newbie to this sort of stuff! i have a digital pic and i want it to print in 6 X 4 size. now it prints in double a4.

    what program are you printing it from. are you printing it on a4 paper
    what settings have you tried changing the print dialog box?
    is there a print setup option in the main menu in the program you are printing from?

    There's no point in printing above 300dpi as the eye cant discern a higher resolution, so for your 6x4, it should be 1800x1200 pixels
