    Everybody Loves Raymond

    I don't.

That man has the most irritating voice ever.

It's the mother/father/brother combination that puts me off. Tried watching this at work on RTE1 during the summer, but wound up just leaving Sky News on after a few days. Not sure why I couldn't get into it; just like how every now and again and despite all the rave reviews and Emmy nods, you just don't 'get' it. And I didn't.

Absolutely terrible show. Hate it, hate it, hate it.

Anytime I see it winning an award my opinion of americans goes down another notch. However, their other good shows helps bring them back up.

I'd be in the "Everyone hates Ramond, and his crappy show" camp myself.

LOL :) I was expecting this to be another empty thread.
Most people I talk to dont even know it, I can understand your opinions though its a case of love it or hate it, there is no middle ground i suppose

It's brutal. So bad they could put it on continuous replay at Abu Gharib.

the mother really annoys me to high hell, or low hell depending on accessibility. her voice and the way she moves really irritate me, the dad is funny though with the way he rips the piss out of their marraige even though its probably the only thing going for him/keeping him alive. annoying show to say the least

    Not even slightly funny.
Oh and that Ray guy makes 2 million an episode.
Disgrace of a show with a worthless cast.
Should have been canned after its pilot !!!!

Yeah, Empire magazine said it best when they referred to Ray Romano's latest film 'Welcome To Mooseport' with Gene Hackman:

"Ray Romano, star of 'sh*t-com' Everybody Loves Raymond"

Definantly not a fan of it, but i do think 'King Of Queens' is a good show! (used to always watch it on Paramount - it's now on RTE's in the afternoon and Channel 4 in the morning)

I weep for Peter Boyle for having to appear on that sh1t.

..."Ray Romano, star of 'sh*t-com' Everybody Loves Raymond"...

Oh ho ho, I see what they did there! Comedy genius!

...Empire - humour apparently isn't their strong point.

I think you can see now why it gets it's well deserved time slot.

But they've been showing 'Scrubs' in the 8am timeslot for the last month or two but they finished the second season of it last week so they moved back 'Everybody Loves Raymond' to replace it.

Surely, 'Scrubs' deserves a better timeslot than that on Channel 4! Though it did give me a bit of a chuckle before starting my trek to college each morning.

Were they only repeats....surely? If not, I'm amazed. Though the new season of Scrubs isn't that great. Don't like the Heather Graham character.

It's a terrible terrible show, I have the hots for his wife though. He is the highest paid TV actor in the U.S., he gets $19,000,000 per year to churn out that crap.

edit Forget what I said about his wife, I was mixing her up with that twat from King of Queens wife.

Yeah, they were only repeats. As i mentioned, they only showed up until the end of the second season, as they probably don't have rights to the 3rd season yet.

The classics are great. New season hasn't been as good - i blame this mainly on Heather Graham but she's leaving in an couple of episodes. But it's still funnier than most so called "comedies" shows on TV right now, in my opinion.
