Damien Fitzhenry , Ronan Curran ,Seán Óg Ó hAilpín, Dan Shanahan , Paul Flynn & Tommy Walsh are batling against last year's winner JJ Delaney .

For consistency all year it should be JJ again. He never plays a bad game.
Seen him hurling at full back for fenians Johnstown v Tulloroan In Nowlan Park Sunday & even though they lost it was a mighty second half display by JJ.

We can't vote, however. Votes will be cast by GPA members, with the winner in each code receiving a new SEAT car valued at EUR20,000.

It's gotta be Seán Óg Ó hAilpín. He destroyed everyone he came up against this year!!

I think Tommy Walsh has been outstanding all year. I would give it to him!

For me Tommy Walsh would be the young hurler of the year! As for hurler I would have to go for Sean Og, followed closely by JJ.

Definitely Has to be Sean Óg, without a doubt.

These type of awards nearly always have a bias towards the All-Ireland champions, regardless of who has actually been the best player in the country (Mattie 'one-man-team' Forde hasn't a hope in hell of winning footballer of the year), so while Delaney's been outstanding as usualy, Sean Og's got to be favourite. I don't even know any Cork people who thought Curran was better.
