The title says it all really, friend is going to N.Korea and japan in November and offered to bring me back some electronics etc... So whats cheaper and more technologically advanced that'll work over here, I understand that our mobile phone networks won't support mobile phones both over there etc... Also, whats the story with VAT etc... Post links to anything cool :)

Are you sure he is going to North Korea? That woulb be pretty unusual, as they don`t let many foreigners into their country.

As it is a country in an Iron Cage, there isn`t much you will get to buy. People are starving there. I am not aware of anything you could buy, except for a nuclear bomb. :(

I guess you meant South Korea.

:o My apologies, I meant, of course, South Korea. Anyways, staying on topic - what to get ? Are GP32s widely available in South Korea or are they more of a specialist item? I'm betting that they're a *lot* cheaper over there either way

Korea isn't cheaper then here. Food/drink is cheaper but electronics is generally on-par with the EU.
