The situation is i'm helping out a company by setting up a few new PCs for them and networking them. The 4 new PCs are all XP Pro and the one old PC is XP Home. I have set the network up inc. printers and file sharing and all has gone perfectly. So the problem i have is that the accounts are on the old PC and they need to be shared with two of the new PCs but not the other two, all other files need to be shared over entire network. Also the old PC HD is FAT32 formatted and I understand this may have issues with security. All the new PCs are NTFS.

    Any help is welcome,

What about password protecting the accounts folders on the old PC?

Are the accounts located within a specific folder?
If they are then it's just a matter of setting up who has permission to access to them.
This is quite easily done with an NTFS file system.
What can be done is change the old PC to NTFS. You can do this without losing any of the information on the hard drive. (Back it up if you can though). Programs like partition magic will let you do this.

To set up who has permission to view a file or folder (on NTFS) just right click it and select properties. There should be a security tab at the top (I'm more familiar with 2000 than xp so some of this may be a bit different). I the security tab you should be able to see a list of who has access to the file/folder. Usually it's set to everyone.

Now the easiest way I can think of to solve your problem is to set up a new user called 'accounts' or something like that and have them as the sole user with permission to the accounts folder.
Then share the folder across the network and when you try to access it from a different computer it should prompt you with a username and password dialog and you simply enter the details for the 'accounts' user.

Of course that all hinges on you changing the file system to NTFS unfortunately.
Just a note on the permissions you may want to leave the user 'system' with access to the accounts. I've had it cause problems before when removing it from the permissions list.
