Hard drive not showing up

    Hi,
Note: This is not the same HD mentioned in other posts.

I have a 120GB HD that is recognised by windows when I connect it but nothing will show up in my computer so I can't access it or anything.

It shows up in device manager and says its working properly and all that and it showed up when I first connected it to the computer. It's not new, it could have been partitioned or used for a partition (making a 240 g drive with another 120 I think)

How can I make it a blank and accessible drive?

    Thanks:)

Needs to be formatted first before it will show up in My Computer.

Right-click on "My Computer" and choose Manage. On the LEFT pane, select Disk Management. Windows should now give you the option to initialize the disk. If not, right click on the new disk and select format.

I think thats how I did it last time. :D
