Mozilla Thunderbird help please

    I installed Mozilla Thunderbird as recommended by posters on this board installed fine imported all stuff from oe fine. Went to receive email and it asked me for my password typed it in and it came back with "sending of password did not succeed Mail server pop.esatclear.ie responded:login failed. I have had this email address for years I KNOW my password :D . Am I doing something totally wrong :confused: . Emails are sending ok. Please help

    Check these match your account settings.


    Server mail1.eircom.net
    port 110
    Use secure Connection NO
    SSL NO


    outgoing
    use Secure NO
    Port 25


    they is my settings for it works fine.

    id guess eircoms settings wont work if hes esat?

    On the subject of Thunderbird, I've heard that theres no workaround for the fact that when you download HTML emails with images, the images are not cached so you can see them offline. After having switched to Thunderbird last week I have to say that really sucks. Thats a fundamental feature nowadays.

    just make sure thunderbird hasnt changeds your account info ,ie, adding @esatclear
