The afformentioned slobbery cook has been humbled today for comparing herself to Marilyn Monroe and claiming she was sexier. This was after some pictures of her were published in the Mail on Sunday (also the Irish version of the same paper) wearing fetish shoes and looking all provocative and "sexy".

I think she is as unsexy a woman as you could ever meet but the prevailing opinion seems to be otherwise.. Can anyone explain why they find her appealing?

Speaking of Marilyn Monroe, is there an equivalent of her today. I don't think so ? (maybe Angelina Jolie - those lips!)

She's quite good looking (more so, considering she is 44), she comes across as intelligent.... and err... she can cook!

Those shoes look stupid, not sexy. This Nigella one is trying a bit too hard IMO. "LOOK, I'M KINKY!!! I SWEAR!!!"

Someone asked who the present day Monroe is - I don't think there is one. Stars today give too much away about their lives and they don't have the same mystique/iconic value as their predecessors held.

If I were to pick a modern day Monroe I'd say Charleze (sp?) Theron.
Thats looks wise, but as far as icon-status, I'd agree with simu that there is none.

Lawson was never all that sexy IMO, sometimes she looks great, sometimes she looks bad, but she never really struck me a very sexy, it was obvious that she wanted to be though
