After using my MS wireless optical mouse for a couple of years, I think its time to buy a new mouse. The mouse that I have lags whenever I play game and of course the constant changing the battery especially goes dead the most perfect moment :p does my head in :(
So right now I'm thinking of going with Logitech optical mouse. Maybe a MX510 or something like that. However, I do hate wires so I'm wondering whether the wireless Logitech is better than MS. Anyone has the Logitech wireless? Does it lag in games?
Anyone else has any suggestions on what good mouse are out there be it optical or wireless.
    Thanks lad.

The Logitech MX series use Fast RF (Or Bluetooth) it updates as fast as the USB port can handle, so there's no difference between them and a wired. I use a 700 myself and it's perfect, never spins out and is extremely accurate - and you just pop the mouse into the cradle to charge it back up when you're done so no worries there.

I agree the MX series is the best optical laser you can get and with the Bluetooth version (mx 900) you should be experiencing no lag at all.

How often do you charge it?

It uses std. NiMh AA batteries, nothing proprietary. I don't know what the stock ones are as I replaced mine with 1800mh. Anyway. Solid gaming you'd get about 16 - 20 hours or so with very few breaks (Is it a good or a bad thing I had mine run down in 2 days once ;) ), with breaks in between it'd be longer. Just get in the habit of popping it into the cradle when you're done for the night, it's not a bid deal if you miss a day or 2.

Nice, I'm thinking of getting the either MX900 or MX 700. Anyone has the MX900? Did you guys just buy the mouse or the keyboard as well? Does the drivers for the mouse still a bit crap?

Yeah I've seen MX1000 as well. Thats one sweet mouse. I've not seen it yet on any website I have checked so I dont have any idea how much it cost. I wonder whether you can buy a combo with a keyboard as well.

Looking at Komplett, the difference between MX1000 and MX700 is only €7 so it's not that bad :)

    get MX1000!

watch out though, wireless mice are heavy!

Man the MX510 is the best for gaming! It has small weight and no lo-batt problem during LAN's!
If you have problems with annoying cord the needable inventions have already been made! There is a Steelpad "cord holder" (I have one) and "mouse bungee" from Everglide, they really help!
PS Also a nice gaming surface will be usefull, I can reccomend Steelpad 4D(middle-size) or Steelpad S&S(big size)!

I think I will hold off until the MX1000 comes with a keyboard. Didnt like the idea of having more wires to the already wire clutter pc lol :)
