...at least, the 20" version, and the 02 Store on Henry Street. I *still* don't like the look of the thing.

(Anyone else reckon that the coloured iMacs, iBooks and PowerMacs were the height of Mac aesthetic appeal?)

    coloured ibooks? yeuch!

    didn't like the g4 imac?
    the current 12" powerbook?
    g4 cube?

i'm with you on the new imac though.

I'll reserve judgment till I see one in the flesh (ABS?), but I like the pics. I thought the last iMac looked like a pudding bowl with a picture on it and two doughnuts beside it and was too complicated and wiry by half (hence I use an eMac) but the new one looks good.

I liked the old coloured iMacs (I have two of them too) but the curvy screens are like SO last century now ;)

    The future's flat.

No. It just didn't look... *right*, in the same way that the new one just looks like an embarressingly ugly LCD.

And *why* is the power button on the back?
    the current 12" powerbook?

The 12", no (Mac OSX is just too inefficient in the acreages of screen space it needs), but the other Aluminium PB's are, certainly, a great improvement in looks over the TiBook.
    g4 cube?

You're right, I'd forgotten that (having just an ordinary wage packet ;-)
i'm with you on the new imac though.
