Control Panel >> User Accounts >> Change the way a user logs on/off >> untick use welcome screen

mines untick and beside it, it says, Use Welcome Screen might be different for others. but at least that's where you turn it off

you can use powertoys to login auto, if the pc only has one user!

The simplest way to solve this problem is by going into Control Panel/User Accounts and you should have only one account as administrator, so if there is others delete them or you will have to log in. So with your one administrator account Change the password to blank, thus having allievieated the need to log in. Hope this is of use to you. :D

    Download Autologon

    http://www.sysinternals.com/files/autolog.zip

enter your user name, password, domain, click enable!

    that's it!

it can done manually through registry too, but why to bother if you can do this with this small 8kb app!
