Word has it on the grapevine that Tesco are launching a big CD price drive this week (starting Monday), i dont have any specific prices to hand, but as far as i know there'll be heavy advertising this weekend, (aiming at golden discs, i've been told?), just thought people might want to know.

If its anything like the last CD sale we had, you can expect a moderate range of newish CDs for <€17 (they'll price compare with the big CD shops at 20/22 for the same disc, i imagine).

    Just a heads-up :)

CDWOW...they rock. The range might not be the best, but their customer service is absolutely fantastic. And who can say no to cd's for 13.95? Even cheaper if you're a pigsback.com member..

Two words for you. Shop around.

Check at least four CDWOW sites (UK, US, Ireland, Hong Kong) and compare prices. UK site is usually the cheapest of the lot, they allow you to choose Euro as the currency when you go to the checkout, and their rate of exchange is superb.

Also try www.djangos.com, free shipping on orders over $25 and CDs usually work out at around the €10 mark. They also sell 2nd hand at very reasonable prices, but no free shipping on them *I think*

Yeah definitley cdwow.co.uk website can be cheaper. Have got 3 things recently where with the exchange rate ended up about 3 euros cheaper than irish website....didnt even know they had a us website though so will check that in future as well

When I click cdwow.ie it redirects me to cd-wow.com which is the UK site. Has the IE site been discontinued?

Yes cdwow.ie brings you to the UK site, but www.cdwow.ie brings you to the Irish one.

WEll for those of you who still prefer to buy in a real shop
(I might actually buy some stuff in Tesco myself this week, but only cos i get staff discount ;P),
The offer is The Top 60 CSs (TESCO's top 60, usually close to the chart, but not the same) for €14.95 Each, and the top (20 i think?) Compilation CDS for €19.95, Its not fantastic compared to most online shops, but its certainly below most Irish Shops prices is it not?

*shrugs* I'm not in there again until wednesda,y so whether or not it's a success has no bearing on me :)
