split screen/ vegas 5

    ok what im looking to do is to make 2 avi's into one split-screened, i have vegas 5 so if anyone can help do it on vegas id be extra happy but anything will help, i can get other software if needs be.

    start a new project in vegas, import the two avi's in the media pool, drag them onto the timeline on two seperate tracks, and look for the crop and pan button on the track panel (it looks like a square and a smaller square), a new window opens and just stretch the box so that the avi takes up one half of the box, and then do the same for the other track
