Yep enjoyable stuff, the usual quirky Coen brothers fare, but deffo not anywhere the same league as their best stuff: i.e. Miller's Crossing and the Big Lebowski.

However it was the first film of the last four or so I went to see that there wasn't some annoying git or oul wan bugging the hell out of me smile.gif

Forget Shaft, The Coen brothers are the man! or men!
Amazing film, I havnt laughed so much in ages. Some brilliant touches in it. Not for everyone though. Full cinema but you could hear the laughter in patches. Overheard one guy after saying what the hell was that!
If you like their usual stuff you should love this.

what about Barton Fink? 10 times better than Miller's Crossing

Its not how you fall, but how you land.

My own favorite is the Hudsucker proxy. Was going to buy it from a video shop closing down a few weeks ago but they checked its rental history and saw how much it was rented and passed it on to their other branch.Grr! But got my dvd player today(boast) so I think ill buy it on disk.
