Site hosting problem

    Hi

Know this should be in web hosting but I see its closed.

Got a problem with a site, the thing looks great happy with it etc
    Except for one big problem.
The guys who made it saved many of the files used with spaces and capitals in the file names. This means that the site can't be seen on Linux machines or on browsers other than explorer.

Does anyone know of a program that would automatically tidy this up changing the filenames and fixing the links. Or is there some trick or quick way of doing it?

Would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

    Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem, I've seen many sites with mixed case filenames and spaces and they've all worked in Firefox.
When you see a url with %20 in it, that's a space.

Have you tried to access the site with Firefox or Opera or something? What is the error? Do the server logs say anything (won't if it is a client browser thing).

Changing all links would be a bit of a pain. Lots of 'find', 'for' and 'sed' commands. I get dizzy thinking about it.

    Thanks daymobrew

Haven't tried firefox or opera but the client looked at it on a mac and it was a mess due to the naming.

Needs to be viewable on any system.

Yea getting a headache thinking about having to change it all manualy!!!!

Don't have access to the server logs its only just been put up.

its easy enough to edit the files and the code to change them back to lower case, its a pain but its not hard to do!
