Augusta National...weak?

    Well.... well....well finally wee have someone who is speaking what most may have felt but were too scared to open their mouth. John Gordon, the Canadian Editor has criticized the Augusta National.
    He writes: The field at The Masters is without a doubt the weakest of the majors. It's getting by on cosmetic surgery and historical hype. (Reminds me a bit of Gloria Swanson in "Sunset Boulevard," to tell you the truth.)

    The Masters is the greatest golf tournament in the World. No question. Magnificent course and great to watch.

    Yes, the heads at Augusta are full of themselves and arrogant, but that doesnt bother me.

    And yes, its very tough to get into, but thats the way it should be, and it is easier for Europeans than it used to be. The best players are always there.

    To conclude: Its the best, always has been, always will be.....
