My favourite would be Good Will Hunting...

But then I am biased because I think that Elliott Smith is God....and he did the music for the film......

Real Video of the song Miss Misery (nominated for an oscar , beaten bt titanic?) http://www.elliottsmith.net/rvmissm1.ram

My personal faves: Thin Red Line, Gladiator, Krull, and also Glory - one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever. Thats for the orchestral side of things.

Songs wise: Empire Records gets my numero uno vote, but they still left half the cool songs in the film out frown.gif

    Hans Zimmer is just amazing

The Straight Story. Touching and downright brilliant. I also quite liked the Saving Private Ryan Sound Track when I was listening to it in HMV when I was there a couple of weeks ago. I might get it.

So the pope puts down the Badger and leans over to me and says , " My son , sometimes you talk a lot of ****. Knock it off." Before I could speak in walks Christopher Lloyd with a time machine under his arm and just then...it started to get weird...

Yes some good ones in there boys. Blade Runner, Glory and The Mission all get my vote. I can't remember the Gladiator soundtrack as i only saw the film once and was too wrapped up in its visual effects to play attention to the music.

If your looking for a good soundtrack i can recommend "The Big Chill" + its a good film too.

A bit off the topic here but hurray "American Beauty" will be available to rent on video soon, i always ment to go and see it in the cinema a second time and am kicking myself cause i never did.

at the risk of being pedantic...I did mean that elliott did (most of) the music in the film, not for...sorry.

ummm...6 out of the 15 tracks on the Good Will Hunting soundtrack are performed by Elliott Smith...(2 by Danny Elfman....)

not to be confused with the score of the film... tongue.gif

must agree though, his scores are usually 'mazin....not to mention his orchestral arrangement of 'between the bars'...

Starred Robert De Niro (sp?) and Jeremy Irons. About a settlement of Indians and auld Jeremy trying to teach them the faith.
Robert hunts them but is converted to the faith and their way of life.
Soundtrack and visuals of this film are uplifting, some of the best cinematography I've seen. Tis definately worth a look

Most famous tune from it would be Gabriels Obo(sp?? :/) ..

    Tis deadly

Ennio Morricone did j'aul soundtrack, btw.

The clockwork orange soundtrack is pretty good. Along with Blues Brothers, Ennio Moricone's stuff, Gross Point Blanke, Apocalypse Now, Return of the Jedi...

Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels is pretty damn good... as well as (sorry, I know... but) most of the Mortal Kombat soundtrack.

Also - M:I2... but that doesn't really count as it's of the "music from or INSPIRED by" category (as most of the tracks don't make it into the movie)...

If you mean the whole soundtrack, then Grosse Point Blank.

If it's just one song then "Your so cool" by Hans Zimmerman. It's the song played in True Romance where Alabama is voice overing at the start.
