Aer Lingus reduces transatlantic premier business fares by 40-60%

    They have re vamped all their other fare rules too, getting rid of the "saturday night stay condition for their lowest fares.
    "We believe that it is time to bring the low fare concept now prevalent in the U.S. and European domestic markets to transatlantic travel," said Jack Foley Executive Vice President. "It is our goal to position Aer Lingus as a profitable airline offering low fares and reliable travel on the Atlantic for both our business and leisure customers to Ireland and Europe."

    In other news I note that continental yesterday concluded negotiations on running regular flights for the first time ever from Belfast international to New York, these are expected to start next year.
