    Hello,

Im playing guitar just over a year and have a fender acoustic I got a squier a few months ago and now I feel it's time to get something worthwhile as im improving and would like to develop with a better sounding guitar. The guitar I really want is the JAG-STANG reisssure, I chose this because of its appearance at first and every review I have came across seems to approve of it. Does anyone have anything bad to say about the jag-stang? Im interested in playing grunge right now and ive read it gives alot of other good sounds also.

I am also interested in buying a wah pedal and I know the majority will swear by the cry baby but I have been thinking about buying the boss dynamic wah pedal that has a type of human sound off of it. I like boss pedals they look neat and I was impressed with the boss ds-1 distortion pedal I bought some time ago.

Guitar guideline price is 400-500, Could I squeeze a better buy?

Also I would like to hear your opinions on the boss dynamic pedal.

    Thanks,

    Mark.

What amp do you have? That's basically the most important thing.

    Good guitar into a ****e amp = ****e sound
Decent guitar into a decent amp = Good sound

    Marshall mg15cd practice amp.

I will be getting a better one but the guitar is more important to me right now.

Trust me, any new guitar you get will sound terrible. I really recommend looking at a new amp. You can get a Spider II 2x12 for your price range.

And tbh, I love the CryBaby. I have mine modded so it's really nice.

I have planned to get a line 6 but I really just want the guitar first so what I really want is comments about the guitar from people who have tried it.

I have read that and other reviews like I said above I want to know if any boards people have used it I would not have asked here otherwise.

It's funny, I was only just playing one the other day. Neck and action wasn't great on it, especially towards the higher frets, anything after the 12th fret seemed to be unplayable to a degree. I didn't like it at all, but that's just me.

But if you're mostly playing grunge you probably won't need to play above the 12th fret much. :p

I was also looking at this strat

Do you think this would be a better all round' buy?

Ive had a few crybabys over the years, also a Schaller Wah/Yoy and recently Picked up a Morely Bad Horsie and holy hell its the business, i dont think you could find a better wah. Its switchless so you dont have to turn it on to use it, when you start moving the pedal it kicks in automatically. And the wah is really really nice

If your dead set on fender (i hate em) at least buy a fat strat

You'll thank me later, you;ll still get that Nirvana kinda tone with the right gear but you can switch it up a notch using the Humbucker too
