    Hey lo :7)

Just wondering does n e 1 else prefer Futurama to the Simpsons. Personally I laugh a hell of alot more at the antics of Fry and Bender than Homer and Bart. But then hell I even play Q3 in a Bender model

Well I grew up with the Simpsons. That was what was great about them. You might be 7 years old but you can still laugh a LOT at an episode of The Simpsons while Futurama is definately for older audiences. While Simpsons (in the earlier series at least) might have tried to inject a wee moral in some place, Futurama is a little too mature with vulgarity and blatant pop culture **** takes every three seconds. I know Simpsons had both those in its later series but for the most part it was good family fun.
That said I think Futurama is ****ing hilarious. Its so Vulgar and my little cousin can not even watch it. She thinks its too 'Gross'.It really treats its viewers like adults and thats good for an american prime time cartoon. Class series.

I like them both, but South~Park owns them both.
Anyone know where you can watch un-cut episodes?

I think both cartoons are deadly. I think the fact that both are by the same creators that Futurama is always going to get a rough time.

They are both entirely different programs and it is diffucult to compare the two if you ask me.

Of course if I had to pick it would be South Park smile.gif

In my opinion Futurama is better but i will always love The Simpsons. To me South Park has lost all of its appeal and now just seems stupid

the simpson kicks ass but futurama lets go more, making it dead funny in ways the simpsons cant always be. futurama isnt as much a kids programme.

I think both are fantastic, but the animation in Futurama can sometimes make you go "ooh", whichi is good. For sheer comedy value no one on Futurama can yet rival Homer, although Fry and Bender sometimes come close (in my opinion). smile.gif

Simpsons hands down. I still love Futurama tho.
I think the way to tell its gonna last the test of time......
..is if ppl still remember really funny lines/scenes out of it.
I know me and me friends often mention a Simpsons line for a laff :-)

    Aliens about to abduct homer:
Homer: "Dont take me.I have a wife and kids. Take them!"

    LOL smile.gif

    Simpsons.
Futurama tries too hard and just cant hit the peaks of Homer and gang.
    the gags are more contrived.

    Hey

Not family guy really though seeing as it is good but not enuff episodes really to include it. To be honest I did prefer Family Guy after the first 2 episodes were shown on Sky1. But for me at least Futurama has just gotten better and better.

    OK - I'll burn it biggrin.gif

I've not seen enough Fut. to comment fairly. But, Simpsons are a part of everyday life at this stage. It may be a sad fact, but it's true!

the simpsons are the most important, vibrant and vable piece of culture, we, as a generation, have produced. futurama may take its mantle as it is getting into old age, but homer is quite frankly the finest male character portrayed on tv.

neaaagh, dont make me choose smile.gif

I'd have to say, at the moment, Futurama is slightly ahead in the 0wnerage stakes. The latest Simpsons episodes, just, cant quite put my finger on it, *feel* right...they seem to be taking the scripts and characters in new directions. Take a look at that episode where Maud Flanders dies to see what I mean.

I like Futurama - Zapp Brannigan and Kif crack me up - but did someone say it was gross??? The grossest thing I can remember was the Slurm episode and even that was fairly harmless compared to the milking of the rats in the Simpsons.

I still think the Simpsons can get more laughs out of me, and Futurama can be very good one week and then unlaughable the next.

PS I am seven years old.
