Phillips DVP520 - not only multiregion but plays vcd, svcd, mpeg CD, etc (basically everything but DivX - which the 720 does play). ¬80 in Extra vision with 20e rental vouchers. Great lil player, bought one for the 6-8 weekes that my Teac is gone away to be refocused for.

I just bought the Tevion 5.1 system from Aldi for a €110.. it was region free out of the box..

It looks very impress silver with blue flashy lights on the front.. the main negative point is there are no other inputs available for audio such as PS2 or Xbox.. I bought it as a spare and am happy with the purchase.. its good value for money!!

To be honest I really favour a dedicated AV amplifier. If you keep your eyes open you can generally pick one up for 150-250 euro off richersounds.ie (they have a decent sony AV amp there at the moment in that price range). The difference a decent amp makes is wonderful - can't endorse amp's enough:).

was wondering about the Tevion one in Aldi, was it any way good. Might give it a go
