Ok the DVD is excellent (for the extras you get on it). It was the first time I saw the movie and it's well worth a look.

The "Whitey hating coon" scene where he's explaining Star wars as a perfect example of black oppression had me in stitches. biggrin.gif

And Silent Bob and Jay are in it! I didn't realise they were in another movie (saw them in Dogma).

Silent Bob is Kevin Smith, the director. They've been in all his films so far. Indeed the Coon scene in Chasing Amy is one of his best, almost up there with the '36 Dicks' and 'Why the Rebels were ba$tards for blowing up the second Deathstar' bits in Clerks smile.gif

They are class films. Chasing Amy has the most spoken by Silent Bob. In Clerks and Mallrats he only had the one line. There is a comic explaining how Silent Bob and Jay got from New Jersy in Chasing Amy to Chicago in Dogma.

The best scene for me is when Jason Lees character relises that they are in a gay bar...

Just watched all films again last week. Brilliant. Though i think Kevin Smith better suits the smaller films.
Werent Jay and Silent Bob in Scream 3 as well?

Spotted LF - they made a brief cameo in Scream 3 on the movie set of Stab 3 taking a tour.

Kevin Smith also wrote some Dare Devil stories for Marvel...

Yeah a big fan of Kevin Smith.

Clerks is class and Mallrats is plain stupid as only he can do.

Great director, i just hope his next effort is better than Dogma, it rightly annoyed me some of it.

Excitement, adventure, a Jedi craves not these things!
