What's the best (and cheapest) way to get to Crete? I'd like a quick pre-winter holiday. I see you can fly direct from Belfast on Direct Holidays Ireland, but I'm finding their website a little obscure; Budget Travel's website won't work on a Mac and is unreliable on my PC in work.

Not sure about flights but if you're looking for accomodation in Hersonisoss(spelt wrong I think) I'd check out the Marni Village apartments - I went on a package holiday to there this year - but when I got there I found out that you can just walk in and get an apartment for just €14 a night - great apartments!

    Website is http://www.marnivillage.com/

    Try www.holidaysonline.ie

There are loads of offers around at the mo, Crete included.

    Hope this helps

Thanks, Sann; only problem with holidaysonline is that it only offers holidays for two or more people.

    Apologies for the assumption!

had a look on the web and came up with

    www.flightline.co.uk

They offer single seats on charter flights to Heraklion and other destinations from the UK.....why not try via Stansted and get there with Ryan Air.

    Hi,

I booked 1 week in Crete from October 17th in the Lyda Beach- Gouves for 279 euro, that is half the brochure price, 4 stars and on the beach!!!! not bad

www.budgettravel.ie is the place to go

Does anyone know if budgettravel.ie has specific days of the week that it flies? I've been hours on the site at various times looking at monday, no, tuesday, no, wednesday, no....

Hmm. If I were two people it would cost me €565 for a week in Crete. It doesn't want to tell me how much it would be since I'm one person. Grrr.

There will probably be a supplement......I know my cuz went off on hols on her own last year and it cost her about 75.00 more to go on her own.

When you have picked something give them a ring and an agent should be able to tell you.....
