xp3500+ wont overclock

    hey, recently got xp3500+ have 2gb worth of 3200 ram with the gigabyte 939 board and it wont overclock!!

    i havent touched they multiplier cos i know its locked that it wont go up but it will go down but when i try to bring it up to even 220 it says saved restarts and is still at 200 grrrrr!!!

    any suggestions

    Where you Overclocking from, the Bios or from DOT software?

    It’s all Software Overclocking. But that is a weird problem, did you update the Bios lately, or did you try a smaller setting like 210-215 (maybe 220 is too much), you could try flashing the BIOS.



    Why don’t you believe in DOT, Works brilliantly for me. :)

    Is there a bit of a delay after u restart, ie is it resetting the BIOS. There is an inbuilt overclock protection on some mobos that when it doesnt post at overclocked settings it reverts to default. Maybe uoi need to increase voltage or loosen memory timings.
