    Hi all,

Came across this - the prices of software is unbelievable! are they to be trusted?

    Had anyone ordered from them?

And has anyone had problem registering the software they bought?

    http://www.oem-softwares.com

Note: they do not specify a geographic location on their website

If it sounds too good to be true, it IS too good to be true.
ie: you buy from them, and you either get nothing, or you get a CD-R. Either way, you won't be getting legit copies of the software.

And the fact everytime you rightclick it pops up java-spam isnt a good sign either.

read about this site a month or two ago if im not mistaken its a scam ...cant think where i read but it rings a bell ..they said that if it looks to good to be true then it more than likely is ..it was a warning in a mag i read ...so be careful

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole. Pity though. nice prices but then again you can get a CD-R for a few cents. That's my 2!

If you do indeed get a 'legitimate' installation CD, it's still illegal AFAIK - OEM software is generally bound by terms of agreement to be used on hardware it came with, not to be sold seperately.

Agreed - 100%. But for those ppl that are still unsure "Borland Delphi 7 Professional" - THERE IS NO (and never was) AN OEM VERSION OF THIS

designers, who will in turn use that program to make more than what the program is worth.

also if you're in the design business you shouldn't use pirate software. (well that goes for everyone really but espically in business)

That's what I'm thinking. Where they get their hands on a shedload of OEM stuff though....

The telltale sign is in the FAQ. At not point do they try to assure you that it's legit, just that you will receive "official" CDs.
