Reliable Wireless Router

We use Netgear Routers (eg WGT624) on our customer sites.
They're easy to setup and maintain, and they perform ok.
The problem we're having with them is that they're not reliable.
They may last 2 weeks, they might last 6 months, but eventually
they're they're just torched silicon. We can RMA them and get
replacements, but they're no more reliable that the original
    ones we had.

This means we have to keep some routers spare for when
they fail, and we have to go our customer sites to install
the new one. This all adds to our costs.

They're mounted high on a wall (indoors) so they're not being mistreated,
and I dont think the amount of network traffic means they're
    under a high load.

So I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a brand that
they've found to be reliable. I think we should be getting at least a
years use out of a router before it falls apart. We've had enough
of netgear and their really bad support.

Even if their products are mainly designed for personnal use, I think Linksys is reliable and could be a good choice (and not expensive). Have a look at the WRT54G or WRT54GS.
If you want to put more money in yours routers, 3Com has some good products.

Our d-link DI-614+ will have been on the go 2 years in December.
To date there have been 0 problems in it's use.

The only thing I have noticed is that every so often (maybe once a week), it has a slight wobble and drops the connection for a second or two and picks it up again. I only notice it because I have an SSH connection in use 75% of the time, and it dies when that happens.

Try an EnGenius wireless router, professional and not so expensive, plus it has longer range than standard brands. They can be a little tricky to configure, but I found to be the most reliable.

I have an SMC wireless (54G) router running 24/7 for the last 10 months.
Nice and stable, lots of firewall options.
