What are you hi-fi speakers powered by? Are they connected to an amp? If so, you need a 3.5mm stereo to 2 xRCA lead, available from Peats, Maplin or anywhere like Dixons etc. That's presuming that your amp has an AUX or Tape input (a pair of red and white sockets).

You can't connect your speakers directly to the laptop, you need some kind of amplification like a hi-fi or something.

    Hope that helps,

    Robbie

Yes, if you have those red and white phono inputs on the hi-fi. They'll be marked AUX or TAPE or something. In this case, your hi-fi unit is acting as the amp for the speakers.
