    Hi Guys and Gals,

I am not a techy please help. I have a photograph I took along a haunted corridor in a New York hotel. A super holiday except for the sick "war" in Iraq and all the Bush crap that it entailed (but thats for another discussion!)

Please advise how may I "post" the photo to allow subscribers view it?

It's not one of the non-paranormal silly "Orb" digital images that folk miss-represent knowingly or un-knowingly as "spirit" photos...actually a digital/video camera artefact that is rasonably explained on the better paranormal web sites.

Please advise to be rewarded with a decent unusal photograph

    Kind thamks in advance..

    Bee

Attach it if it small using the attach files option at the bottom of your post.
or use IMG tags if its linked from another website ie

    IMG]www.website.com/youpic.jpg[/img

But with [] before and at the end of the line.

    KdjaC,

Thanks for the help...Unfortunately I need to make adjustments to the Hotel photo so I can upload it.

To whet folks appetite perhaps they may enjoy this photo I originally took using Kodak Infra Red film exposed at 800ASA.

    Grove-1.jpg

Scanned onto the PC using a Canon scanner. The site is a little known (known locally as a spot to be avoided!) standing stone on the Wicklow/Wexford border on private land. I was investigating reports of a glowing shape seen frequently in the locale. There is a nearby very marshy pond and I was assuming a "will o' the wisp" i.e. marsh gas spontaneously igniting and being seen in the night time. Some notes I have of the investigation (all of 10 years ago! ) note equipment / electrical failure near to the standing stone. The stone is reputed to contain the remains of a chieftain.

I would welcome any comments on the image.

    Enjoy,

    Bee

trying really hard to figure it out, at the minute it looks like a reflection of the original stone. (dunno does that makes sense)

    still thinking...

Fair point but the camera had a lens hood attached and I used a small f-stop to ensure a tight focus due to using Infra Red film. Highly unlikley to create a lens type reflection.

the shape is the same...the curve near the bottom left edge of the simage is a duplicate of the standing stone..but considering the information "The stone is reputed to contain the remains of a chieftain."..I can somehow apply the whole residual thingy to that situation. (like a fossil)

    scareh...

    Thanks Keu,

Some folk can see the shape of a hand holding a staff? in the centre of the unusal entity/artefact? Unfortunatley the image posted is of a much lower resolution that the original picture.

I look forward to uploading my hotel photo soon.

Well, the grey outline running up along his left screams Photoshop.

It does look kinda tacky. I could do that quite easily on paint shop pro. I'm not saying anyone did fake it, just that it could be easily done.

To what grey line or you refering?

    well spotted

you are right it was very easily done

that was literally 3 minutes work in Photoshop but what could you do with more time and expertise?

Looking at the photo Bee posted, to me it looks like a more competent photoshop job. Or done in a darkroom and then scanned - double exposure - not too hard to do

    The original one is photoshopped.

The best way to check for fakes is to convert them into CMYK or negative format and look at them. It looks like a person in a cloak has been superimposed onto the picture. There was some manual editing on it as in CMYK the face part (which is overlayed the bark) looks wrong. It has a squarish feature to it (as well as eyes/face you can see).

Add to that the bottom right has been been edited (hand delete then merge?) which can be seen.

I should have taken more time over my hoax. I had hoped to to string you along and then reveal that Roscrea castle is haunted by the not-yet-dead spirit of Terry Wogan, but I see I can't put anything over on you boys :D
