Ok, this is official, an unknown called Hayden Christensen(spelling ??) has been cast as Anakin. i swear, this is official. This is cool, cause he's a relative unknown and DiCaprio is nowhere to be seen.

amongst others. lucasfilm have said they would make an official announcement today, and since the buzz is around this guy so close to the official announcement, its probably true.

Hayden Christensen is front and center in the latest rumor about who will play Anakin Skywalker in the next installment of George Lucas' Star Wars. The venerable Hollywood rag Variety ran a report last week that named Hayden as the most likely choice. Both Hayden's people and Lucas Films declined to comment on the rumors.
