i just bought a panasonic from viking,i was looking for handset loudspeaker and large phonebook.it's a KXTCD505 model
the irish site is down at the moment .i just noticed it may be underpriced here as well, seems to be 77uk pounds(http://www.vikingdirect.com/) and around the same in euro here if i'm not mistaken.also looked at the bt calypso on amazon which has a sim card reader ,very handy.

Amazon have a nice range of phones you should check out.
My favorite is the Motorola V500. They are selling it new for £109.99 which is €161 which is quite good!

got that panasonic,it's great kx-tcd505e,the phone book can be segregated into work numbers and business numbers each with their own ring tone and of course 'handset loudspeaker' .only minor quibbles ,phone is a bit slippy in the hand will need some tape for it and when dialling from the phone book it only displays the number of the person you're calling ,i'd prefer to see their name displayed in case i make a mistake

It's pretty basic compared to those other models, but for €29.99 from Lidl?

And I think I saw one with an answerphone knocked down to €49 or so in the Argos Christmas special offers supplement — but can't find a link for it.

I bought one of those in Lidl yesterday. They sold out pretty quick here in Limerick and in Ennis too so you might not get one now. It's pretty good, does everything I want anyway, like caller ID, phone book, speakerphone.
