Just got this, reduced to 7.99 in the Tower sale, and a kicking soundtrack it certainly is, however it gives rise to several questions:

Half the songs in the film aren't on the damn CD, including the one I really bought it for i.e. what song and band plays over the opening credits??

Anyone ever heard of the Martinis, and where someone might get an album of theirs? No joy in the shops, Amazon etc.

Why are CD's by The Cruel Sea only available on v pricy import over here??

    Drill: see Martinis above.

Coyote Shivers really should be more famous smile.gif however Evan Dando provides the one stinker on this CD, typically enough. Other great bands on this CD that I never heard of before: Ape Hangers, The Meices, Lustre.

Y'all go and buy it, ya hear?

A lot of movie/record companies like to screw their customers by filling up a soundtrack disk with piles of 'inspired by' tracks.

Romeo & Juliet and Boogie Nights' ost's are prime examples of this, release a disk with tracks that arent even in the film, and then put out 'Volume II'(and III IV, V mabye..) with the proper stuff on it, several months later.

I do have a very specific question about this. You know the scene where they're all dancing and bringing the tills in and all? What song are they all dancing to? I've been trying to find it for (literally) years but to no joy. Anybody got any idea?

Do you mean at the beginning before A.J. burns the C.D?

Oh, and here'a a list of all the songs in the film (not only on the OST): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112950/soundtrack

    It's a good album alright.

I think it was If You Want Blood (You Got it) - AC/DC. Cracking stuff.

It wasn't if you want blood. And yes, that is a great song. I'm gonna sift through this list of songs and I'm gonna nail this! Cheers guys. You don't know how well I'm gonna sleep after I find this song!!!

Lo TSJ is this the band you are looking for http://www.djangomusic.com/artist_music.asp?pid=P+++653505

I use Djangos alot for older music especially when they have their free shipping specials. Nothing like that happy feeling you get when loads of CD's are delivered to ya :D

    Martinis:

The band formed by Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago with his wife. They've one album, and it's pretty hard to come by (yet readily available in Japan!)

Nice one. I wonder why play.com doesn't have it for sale.
