Today the worlds first and best teletext service turned 30! From a handfull of basic pages of news and sport in 1974 its expanded to fill 1000 pages and of course inspired many others to follow. None as good.

Which is the first page you check upon switch-on? For me its almost certainly 302 football main stories. Followed by 102 news headlines and then visits to the 540s 360s, 600s, 201 (on BBC2).

    Interesting piece from 1974

Ahh, good ol' ceefax, where would we be without it.

My usual ports of call are:

    300 & 301 (Sports headlines),
    387 (Snooker),
    302 (Football headlines),
    303+ (Football latests/results),
    324+ (Football Tables)
    360 (Motorsport)
    606 (TV Now & Next)

    & various others :)

    Usually only 120 - now & next.

For news and the rest I'd use Aertel. :)

I only use 302 for football headlines. Its probably the best for football.

For me it's the general footy news (302). Of the footy pages I tend to hit 312 (news in brief) a lot.
