Yeah I'm going, I haven't heard anything about support bands so probably no-one remotely major.

    Dunno about u18's.

I'll be there as well. Should be no problem with under 18s, they only check if you want to get upstairs to the bar. Mind you, the security in the Ambassador were a pack of **** at Green Day; had my digital camera taken at the start of the night & was told that it would be looked after. Had to wait for a half hour at the end of the gig for some fat tosser to empty the valuables box on the floor, leading to a free for all. I was one of the lucky ones who got my stuff, just about.

Anyway, enough moaning. Ought to be a good gig.

theres bars upstairs and downstairs and it's over 18s

U18s should get in ok, they'll probably just close off the bar downstairs. Should be a good gig, I'm looking forward to it.

Bar downstairs only serves soft drinks. For watered down pints of piss, gotta go up.

the support band were C.A.D.OAS or something mad like that, they were weird but i met the lead singer after and had a chat with him hes cool. Also the dude with the afro, hes cool!

But the Hives were absoulute class, brilliant performance, really enjoyed it.
I was wearing my sweden football shirt and nicholos saw it and cheered then threw me his plectrum(its cool it says his name on it)! Then Pelle saw the shirt, laughed, and then thumped his chest were the crest is, cool!!!

What abouit pelle in the crowed at the end, i though he was going to be killed!

Legend legend legend "what is that you say?", Latern???
    Ha Ha

    brilliant gig.

    That support band sucked!

But meeting the Hives beforehand ruled! Gawd bless competition winning!

That support band were interesting, I thought I was having an acid flashback, thought it was 1982 again  Still, their drummer had the best hair I've ever seen. Top marks.

The Hives were class. You've got to love them, they know how to put on a show.

I loved the large ripple of laughter through the crowd when he walked on... :D

CDAOSS were good, they were like the Rapture. Here's a pic: http://www.cdoass.com/press/Img_5122.jpg

I was talking to the afro guy afterwards, their album should be good.

The Hives of course were excellent. "Oh, I see... They say I'm a legend!" :D

Anyone got photos of the gig?

    ****ing fantastic!

I was a tiny bit worried about getting in and almost had a heart attack when the guy stopped us..... to put our water in the bin

    Oh I see! They say I'm a legend! :D

I liked the support band, the singers dancing was pretty cool. Sorta like he was doing a robot.

But when Pelle crowdsurfed at the end, all I saw was everyone dissapearing just trying to touch his chest. Amazing night!

Me neither :o My "Nulla Sallus..." Tshirt got soaked! I was two or three rows from the front. After the first song, I had gotten more excercise than I have in a very long time! Had to retreat after about 6 songs for water. They played all my fave songs really. Outsmarted, Antidote and that "The Hives Declare Nuclear War" one.

I have a few poor quality photos on my phone, and I few crap videos too, I'll see if I can post them up somewhere.

    The heat was incredible!
I hate it when just in the middle of a song, you feel this flush of heat all around your neck. Like everyone at the exact moment has just exhaled right behind you at the same time.
Obviously got the better of some, I saw 1 or 2 people who had fainted.

Maybe you dont know what I mean :o

I saw a few people on the floor alright, but they were fighting for Chris Dangerous' drumsticks!

Here are my bad bad photos, but they're better than nothing. Taken with a Nokia 6600.

    Enjoy!

some of the photos are ok!

    Legendary moments from the gig-

Pelle being repeatedly soaked with water

Pelle dropping the microphone near the end while doing some showing off

Pelles jumping down into the crowd

They Call me a legend, it makes me so happy to be a legend in dublin

Pelle crowed surfing at the end

    Me getting nicholus arsons pick

Pelles general madness and funniness and kissing his "muscles" when his shirt got ripped off!

Songs- diabolic scheme, main offender, hate to say i told you so, aka idiot and the first song they played

    Great night!

Pelle being repeatedly soaked with water

    LOL, this was funny.

The first time a whole glass of water soaked him he said: "Thank you! Have you got anymore?"

Then an empty plastic glass was thrown up onto the stage:

"Oh, I see, you've run out of it!"

    Or something like that... :D

The first song was Abra Cadaver.

Haha! That was my friend who threw up the second cup of water, there was only a tiny bit in it... Thanks for the pictures!

It was funny too when Pelle said we had been cheating on The Hives, and when he starting clapping to the balcony.

I just saw their new video for Two Timing Touch and Broken Bones. The song is less than 2 minutes long! Good video, the special effects in it remind me of The Strokes' "The End Has No End" and White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" videos.
