Before I go on, I sould warn you that I'm a big Kevin Smith fan, so my opinion is going to be a tad biased...

I thought that this was a great film. The usual sharp dialog from Smith with some memorable orginal lines and a few stolen lines used with great effect. Alan Rickman gives his usual top notch performance. the only thing missing was the usual Smith reference to Star Wars.

    I thought the filn rocked!!!

Top class performances by all I think, but I also missed the Star Wars reference. The thing is, this is a more main-stream flick than Mall Rats and co. (they were way more "culty").

Still, it's a great flick and a definite on my DVD list sunglasses.gif

    All the best,

Must say I liked Dogma a lot.

Clever, funny .. and with Jay and Silent Bob making a return it was always gonna be worth watching.

ps- Alan Rickman as usual was class.

Jesus ...J is some stoner !

I have to say I preffered Chasing Amy & Mall Rats but it was pretty good. When J was cursing his face off at god I couldnt stop laughing.

    Nice one J !

I enjoyed it, but I don't know if Kevin Smith's scripts go with a big-budget film like this. At times, it did seem to slow down and indulge itself with some morals, which were a little cringe-worthy.

But a lot of fun, with some great jokes.

PS Isn't Kevin Smith (silent Bob) the worst actor ever??

Er...no. He plays Bob just right - lots of facial expression to make up for the lack to dialog.

Indeed.... The best movie I've seen in a long time. Clever, irreverent and very funny. Affleck and Damon shine when they act together - their personalities bounce off each other excellently, and they're not afraid to poke fun at themselves either. More movies with the two of them in leading roles together would be a definite Good Thing, in my mind...

Sadly, it does have Chris Rock in it. He gets great lines and a cool premise for his character, and then messes them up a bit. Could this man BE any less talented? He's not even funny at all as a comedian...

An incredible movie, all the same... This is one for a DVD purchase!

I don't want this to sound rude or anything, but in future, please do not drag up a thread that's over six years old. Six years ffs!
