    Folks,

I'm looking for a (FREE) ogg to wma convertor. I've tried a few trial ones on the web but they either stop halfway thru and demand you register or they only allow you encode 3 songs before registering. Has anyone used a good free one??

Apologies if this is the wrong forum, mods please free to move.

Oggdrop ( www.vorbis.com ) will convert your ogg files to wav. I'm sure it's handy enough to to a conversion from wav to wma (media player might do it?)

Just so you know....you're going to lose sound quality doing this. Ogg and wma are both lossy, they're just lossy in different ways. If you can stick with the ogg files....best to do that.

Aye I know, problem is my mp3 player does'nt recognise ogg format.
I'll give it a try anyway.

    Does anyone else have recommendations??

www.dbpoweramp.com. A very easy to use (right click any file - convert to...), free and handy util. You can get the Ogg and Wma codecs on their codec central page too.

    DBPoweramp all the way.

Just remember to use the file selector add-on. Thats the best way ti compress loads of different files at once.
