    Land reform tenders submitted
    19/09/04 00:00

Three tenders have been submitted to the Government for the drafting of a new codified land law, writes Kieron Wood.

The Law Reform Commission's land law working group is currently reviewing existing land law and conveyancing statutes with the aim of standardising the law in a single piece of legislation.

The new legislation will update and reform the law relating to land and property.

The commission is cataloguing all existing laws to decide which can be repealed and which are still relevant. It will publish the results of the screening process next month.
