Most video capture software will allow you to capture just a single frame and export it as a jpg.

    Try avid.com

you can download a free trial of xpress software. I know the pro version has a capture a single frame of video option.

in windows, using virtualdub, you can export every frame as a bmp or tga, you can use some other batch image tool afterwards to convert to jpg

in linux, you could : $mplayer file -vo jpeg

    ThreadKiller....its so easy....

    1. open the file with quicktime
    2. File/Export
    3. Settings: Export=Image Sequence Select "jpeg"
    4. Click "options" set the frame rate you prefer 24 or 30.
    5. Set quality to best.
