I haven't heard it but if it's anything like the last 3 albums I will hate it, IMHO they lost all their fire when they lost Richy.

how can you say that when design for life was written after richey.

kones got a point there when richey left musically and lyrically the manics stuff started to drop from there usual standards....
he may not of been involved musically in the band but he certainly did iinfluance james dean bradfields and sean moores musical direction .

So what your saying is that Richey the none music playing member of the manics left his void changed the direction of the two guys who had written all the music since the start? To be honest thats horse ****........Richey was a great lyricist but that was it and songs such as design, masses, tolerate, austrailia, enola are all as good as anything they have ever written

check the manics website its up on that i do believe

as for you raven 136 let me tell you something. the manic street preachers are a rare breed of muscians who put the music around the lyrics.ie the holy bible , all lyrics where wrote essay style first and then james and sean put there contribution in.
thus causing the lyrics to influence the music if you'd bother to note this with songs like the intense humming of evil or 4st 7lb ...
now in all honesty with lyrics like that your hardly going to put some ****ed up ,upbeat music to it are you ?
no because your trying to create the right sound to suit the lyrics ...
therefore when richey ****ed off the manics where putting lyrics to a different style of lyrics. they were making the songs a little more universal , even epic,so as you can see it had to have had an influence on there musical direction . can you imagine enola put to the music of something like strip it down no because its a different type of lyric it doesnt have the edge that would suit the music
