Faxing and the Nokia 6230

I have a land line. I can fax from the land line. I can receive faxes in my O2 mailbox (086 5 123 4567) and transfer them to the land line when I am in so that the faxes can be sent to my computer for printing etc.

The 6230 is Bluetooth enabled; is there any way of sending and receiving faxes from my computer (running OS X) without a landline?

I've done it before (though with Winwoze), but I would imagine it would be the same procedure.

Have you set the phone up as a modem for the PC? That should be the first step. You will of course need bluetooth on the Mac itelf.

Once you get it setup up, try dialling some number (it doesn't have to be a fax number - just make sure the computer can talk to the modem and the modem can talk to another phone).

Now all you need is some sort of Fax software. Windows has software that allows you to put in the fax telephone number, pick a document and fax it. I don't know the first thing about the Mac, but I am sure there are some programs somewhere that will allow you to do this.
