Ghosting utilities?

    For Linux or Windows, but Windows is preferred. What's out there on the wild interweb?

    I need to ghost the main and restore parition from a laptop to another tomorrow. I was going to pick up a copy of Norton Ghost as its work well for me in the past, but apparently no one in Galway sells it. Woe is me.

    Found a copy, looks like a great program. :D

    Now if anyone else reads this, I have a question.

    The two laptops in question will be networked together. I basically want to dump a copy of the first to the second, and overwrite everything there.

    Is there anything in paticular I should keep in mind? Should the HD on the second be wiped? Will there be any paticular problem in doing it in this manner?

    you dont need to wipe the second drive, coz when you ghost the drive the whole drive will be rewritten, norton ghost can do that thru network! I used ghost 8 to ghost my single drive to the RAID 0 without too much problem, the only problem was with the RAID 0, but was easy fix, ghost 9 support RAID anyway so I'm ok! I think ghost is very good, never used anything else but they could be better if not same! no one in galway sales it?? all you need is the little file just over 1MB to do what you want to do, pm me!
