GetRight or FlashGet?

I've been using GetRight since I got my new pc with the firefox pluggin and its been good so far but now it has started asking me for money every time I use it. :(

I quick look at flash get and it appears that it will do the same thing after the trial period.

So which one would you use?

Oh and i'd just like to check, when I want GetRight to scan dowloaded files with AVG when they're finished I take it that I should point it at "avgscan.exe". Just in case I've been thinking all incoming files were being scanned when they really were not. :o

    Both are good,

    FlashGet is more supported app

    GetRight, has more features!

i was using getright for a good while, thought it was great, i tried out reget though, much prefer it now. I was getting in or around 1.3MB/s with getright, with reget more like 1.8 / 2 MB/s.

I used to use GetRight first, but it's really heavy on the resources and seems to be poorly coded, it crashed my PC a couple of times.

Since I moved to FlashGet I don't have those problems anymore, and the free version just runs a banner in the main app, so I never see it anyway. Absolutely brilliant :)

Download Mage is my favourite download manager. Its not being developed any more (as far as I can see), but its excellent in its current state. You can use it to download individual files from within zipfiles, schedule downloads to run during the night, throttle bandwidth on downloads (useful for downloading in work), use multiple threads per download.... Check it out here: http://www.dlmage.com

Edit: Oh yeah, and its a tiny download, very fast and not bloatware or adware.

Alternatively, I use FreshDownload. Completely free registration, email notifications of new versions... Quite nice actually...

Dude. Flashget all the way. Have never come across a downloader as good as it. Used GetRight years ago when I first got the net but it sucked. Flashget has absolutely everything you might need. Seriously. Can't recommend it enough :D

XP Pro, and I very rarely have anything else crashing so I was surprised when ReGet did. I was downloading a 40mb file and I had to reboot three times to finish the download. But, I did notice slightly faster download speeds than GetRight, and its a lot prettier :)
