Winamp Q

I've reluctantly re-downloaded the new winamp due to the constant mention it's getting in the free software thread below...Thing is I'm having a few problems.

Is there no option to normalise the sound? If there is, can it work for video files too because I really like the way you play your music video in between your music shuffling, but I'm having problems with sound levels.

Is the Media Library a peice of cr&p or is it good when you have it setup? I've spent a while editing ID3 tags there (shoulda d/l'd something for that!) but even so it still strikes me as not very customisable. e.g. I can't remove about half of the headings in the left bar like "playing now" or "bookmarks".

I've shrunk the player and playlist windows to just 1 single bar each. Thing is when you play a video the main player window grows again and screws up it's placement. Is it possible just to have the tiny player window stay?

I downloaded one of the most popular crossfaders but it's now giving random popups looking for donations. Any you can recommend instead?

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry I've read the help file etc. and don't find anything about this.

P.S. I said reluctant because it's these kind of things that drove me to iTunes in the first place (and an iPod). But I want a fast-loading, non-spying music player. Not that much to ask for right? :D
