Is dócha - equivalent to the Japanese do-shi in meaning and usage, this literally means "it is likely", but depending on how you use it can mean anything from "Yup" to "You think so?" to "Yeah, right"

    Ní móide go ...

Ní móide go bhfuil suim aige ann - It's unlikely that he's interested, he's hardly interested in that.

Ag caint ar an Seapánais, ciallaíonn "byoki" breoite agus cuireann sé sin an focal Gaeilge i gcuimhne dom i gcónaí!

(The Japanese word for sick "byoki" always reminds me of the Irish word "breoite"!)

Well, since no one else has posted yet today:

Is fánach an áit a bhfeifeá gliomach = It's an odd place you'd get a lobster.

(No, it's clean. It's said when you find something or something in an unexpected place. Well, it's *generally* clean.)

Taom = orgasm (lit. spasm: taom chroí = heart attack)

An bhfuil tú cinnte? Cheap mé gur chiallaigh an focal "súnás", orgasm as Gaeilge. Nach bhfuil an focal "taom" ró-ghinearálta?

Déarfainn go bhfuil an ceart agat. Bhí de Báldraithe as dáta fiú nuair a chéadfhoilsíodh é. Bhí ciall níos leithne ag 'orgasm' tráth ach sa lá atá inniu ann 'sé an príomhbhrí ná scaoileadh gnéis. Is dócha go bhfreagraíonn 'taom' don sean-bhrí. Ach b'fhéidir go bhfuil dul amú orm mar ní saineolaí mé.

    SÚNÁS ! Ooooghhaaaghh!!!!!

    Gruaim iar-shúnáis = Post-orgasm depression ????
