What is everyone's worst movie? And I mean the worst movie you ever watched.

I can't seem to think of one at the moment. Star Trek Generations? It's the only movie I've actually fallen asleep in it was so boring.

    Erm..... Turbulence
    Hehehe, SUCH A C**P FILM
If you watch the bit where yer one is trying to land the plane anr Ray Liotta is coming through the cabin door...
_HOW_ did that get past the editor.
You gotta see it to believe how bad it is.

    B.

hmmmm, now do you mean worst movie as in

" Christ! That was a load of Crap!"

    or do you mean

" What a really bad, bad movie. It was brilliant!"

EG. Revenge of Billy the Kid - absolutley rubbish movie, BUT it was hilarious! Everyone hated it when they saw it but now they laugh about it. Same applies for most (if not all, of the Godzilla movies)
Power Rangers! (honest! It's a laugh. It's crap but it's funny)

as for films that were absolute toss and should be steered clear of..

Breeders (no, not the playboy one)
    Absolute power (Yawn)
Executive Decision (except the bit where that git (segal??) gets it)
Passenger 57 ("always bet on ******")

    I'll think of some more...

and are the feds and cia really that thick to let a convicted bomber out of jail to track a "master" of disguise ??
    theres bruce willis..
    theres bruce with a tash
    theres bruce with a hat..
almost as pointless as clark kents glasses smile.gif
so how come they never spot him????
only saving grace was that huge cannon he had with the telescopic sight .. now theres soething u want in YOUR mpv wink.gif

Don't laugh, I actually have The Jackel on DVD (was on sale, $15). Did you know that the gun not only doesn't exist, but even the prop didn't work and someone was moving it with thier hand. (Directors voice overs are cool. heh... heh heh)

Cool thread this - a subject close to my heart too - crap films that is smile.gif

Lol - Turbulence. That film was so bad it was funny. I know exactly the bit you are talking about - the woman is in the ****pit, then all of a sudden she is by the door with Ray Liotta's arm wrapped round her neck, and then she's back in the pilot seat again. I've never laughed so much in my life. Rent it out, and get ready with the slow-mo button smile.gif

Breeders: Samantha Janus simply cannot act, and this whole alien thing in a university type setting is utterly pathetic. The audio quality is diabolical - the sort of thing you'd expect off a 23rd Generation pirate copy of a 1980's alien B movie. I simply had to switch it off and watch the BBC2 test picture instead.

Species II - this film was utterly unbelivably crud. It should never ever ever have been commissioned. They killed off all the good characters in the first one. Would someone PLEASE tell me how on earth the paramedics at the end manage to put the alien woman into that ambulance without seeing either the cat, (where did that come from?) or the child covered in blood?? Arghh.

StarTrek 9: Paradise Lost (?) - my god. This film is absolute trash. They have utterly lost the plot on this. People just wander round aimlessly, and all of a sudden they've mashed together about 400 different storylines ripped straight out of previous TV episodes and called it a 'film'. Steer clear.

Close to Eden - I have no idea why I got this one out. Its got Melanie Griffiths, and focuses on an orthodox Jewish community and their inability to deal with crime. I mean - wtf?? This is a film?? Blockbuster must have rented thousands obviously..

Lost in Space - Matt Le Blanc should have been stuffed into an airlock, and the outer door opened. Then I'd have liked it (so long as the aforementioned act took place within the first 15 seconds of the film). The only redeeming feature was the robot's voice - that was cool.

Star Trek First Contact (generations trailing ever so behind) and I used to enjoy star trek but these two beans put me fast asleep. I mean Picard would never listen to latino music and do a ****ing jig would he ??

I Thought "2 days in the Valley" was actually quite alright.(*DUCK*). James Spader was a total FREAK in it. He looked like some kind of Arian Poster and the plot wasn't too bad

    hmmmmm....
    Mixed bunch in there!

I agree with LoLth - Exec Decision's best bit was when Stephen Segal died - I think he is the worst actor (as if) of all time!

    My own humble suggestion?
I can't even remember the name of it. I saw it with Slaanesh after a lockin in Maynooth last year. It was the Other asteroid one that wasn't Armageddon. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooo boring!

As for weirdest - I must agree with Monsieur Breslin and say Zardoz - too freaky, but the peom Cill Aidon (sp) got a mention in there if anyone was paying attention!

    Anyway - that's what I think.

    All the best,

Some demon that was accidently released when a farmer was ploughing his field and it then goes around killing people and defiling a church baptising its converts by pi$sing on them. It could only be defeat by the power of the earth mother or something. Apparently Clive Barker denies all knowledge of it.

The Avengers was utter claptrap, so was Deep Impact. However the worst flick of all time is definitely The Video Dead, a truly appalling 1984 video ripoff of classic horrors like Evil Dead 2. Complete sh1te.

Plus who can forget the old Rutger Hauer classics Salute of the Jugger, and Blind Fury - makes you wonder if it was the same bloke that was in BladeRunner and The Hitcher.

now being a person with no film taste at all, it thought id would be hard to come up with the worst movie.

does enyone remember the horror film night they used to have on sky when if first started? now there was a collection of bad films.
worst film is a toss up between spawn (my god that just sucked), 2001 space odessy ir easy rider.

Can't remember the name of the worst movie I ever saw - I was 8 when I rented the thing out, and only got it coz the front cover looked good smile.gif.

Anyway - it was about this futuristic mad max type thing in a wasteland. It must have cost about a fiver to make. It was BAD.

If you sat down and thought long and hard about it, you'd realise that the overwhelming majority of movies made in 90's and '00's were absolute sh1te. No matter how big the budget, the "blockbusters" (Troy, Transformers 2, Terminator 3, The Day the Earth Stood Still etc etc) got worse and worse. Even smaller movies rehashed old ideas, or worse, they remade classic movies and so fcuked up the original in the process.

There have been a few notable exceptions to this in the past few years, e.g. the remade Star Trek (J.J. Abrams edition), Cloverfield (didn't think I'd like it but was pleasantly surprised), Terminator Salvation (Sam Worthington's acting was head and shoulders above Bale's), Avatar (I know its a storyline thats been done before but Cameron has pushed the boundaries of film making through the years e.g. Aliens, T2, The Abyss - I'm ignoring Titanic here btw as we all make mistakes :D) and Avatar is another giant leap forward).

The worst movie I have seen is The Phantom Menace.

Bad movies are bad for a variety of reasons, such as poor script, poor performances, low budget etc etc

The reason I think it's bad is that the film had none of these concerns.

The budget was limitless, the actors are of a fine pedigree, the script had years to fine tune and the movie had a rich history to draw on.

What we got was an inept story, a weak script, static performances and a level of hype leading up to it's release which was nauseating.

There is a 70 minute review on youtube which points out it's flaws more humourously than I can.
